Competition
Teams compete in 8 real-world law enforcement scenarios — Traffic
Stop, Domestic Violence, Officer Down, Building Search, Burglary in
Progress, Unknown Trouble, Crisis Intervention, and Felony Traffic
Stop. Selected posts also compete in Honor Guard and Shooting.
Each post can register up to 4 teams with a maximum of 4 explorers
per team. Teams compete in either Group A or Group B and are ranked
independently within their group.
Each scenario is graded by certified law enforcement professionals
including SWAT, K9, Gang Unit, and other specialized instructors.
Trophies are awarded per scenario per group.
Posts that opted into the shooting competition will have their
designated explorers compete at the PBSO Outdoor Firearms Range on
July 13. Shooters compete in groups on a first come first served
basis.
Selected posts perform Honor Guard on the Main Stage during the
competition days. Honor Guard is by invitation and not open to all
posts.
July 13 is Check-In and Shooting Day. July 14 and 15 are full
competition days running 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. July 16 is the Awards
Banquet. A detailed schedule will be provided to registered advisors
at check-in.
Each team completes all 8 scenarios split across both competition
days — 4 scenarios on July 14 and 4 scenarios on July 15.
